After the design for a project has been decided upon, I head up north to theAcademy Stone Quarry. The location is very picturesque in the foothills near Fresno, California. When I'm 'fishing' for a stone, I'm looking for a stonethat will accommodate the dimensions of my sculpture concept. If I'm lucky, I'll spot a stone that adds another dimension to my design. When the stone(s)is ready, it's loaded on a semi and sent to my studio.
